WE SEE YOU!

WE SEE YOU! is one of the most important projects of my artistic path so far.
It is about opening hearts through music in difficult times and reminding us of our shared humanity. Our experimental music here is not some detached niche art, but a living response: we resonate, we share experiences, we create spaces for encounter.

The first impulse came in autumn 2024, when I met Clayton Thomas in Berlin. There I discovered his project Sound the Alarm – a large ensemble gathering donations for families in Gaza through a composition. At first, I only wanted to help promote the CD, but Clayton brought in the decisive idea: playing concerts with the music of Sound the Alarm, we could release much more energy, raise more funds, and make a powerful statement.

From then on, the idea began to grow. It sparked interest, found companions – and suddenly it took off. Sound the Alarmhad put down roots, inspiring and calling a growing initiative into being: WE SEE YOU Sounds the Alarm, carried by outstanding musicians, collectives, and partners. The artistic direction lies with Luca Sisera, Biliana Voutchkova, Cyril Bondi, and Roberto Domeniconi – each of them brings their own language , play or sound the Alarm or their own music.

For me, this project unites the most essential elements of my work: the voice, the encounter with fellow musicians, social engagement, and the responsibility of art in times of crisis. That is why WE SEE YOU! is more than just a project to me – it is an attitude.

I very much look forward to seeing many of you again at the concerts and to walking this path together.

https://orynx-improvandsounds.blogspot.com/2025/01/ulf-mengersen-lina-allemand-kamil.html Translation: Trombonist Sebi Tramontana likes to vocalise joyfully into his trombone, and his sound derives from relaxed swing jazz, which he distends and explodes with blowing effects, playful glissandi and high notes, colloquial noises as warm as Roswell Rudd or Nick Evans . Ideal for this duet with an expressive, wild and daring vocalist like…

    Performance Day

What is an echo? An echo is the reflection of sound waves that reach a listener again after a delay. I must admit that at first it wasn’t entirely clear to me what Maricruz Peñaloza and ChrisRegn had in mind when they suggested that Anna, Yara, and I should act as the echo ofthe Performance…
