ECHOES by Shameless Records,  Charity release for the Children of Gaza

ECHOES

by Shameless Records,  Charity release for the Children of Gaza

I am very happy to be part of another charity release for the Children of Gaza.
Over 30 musicians have participated in this solidarity project.

My contribution is Track 9, “Sleepless”. Thanks to Angélica Castelló und Boris Hauf for the Initiative.

This release originates from a sonic protest for Palestine, organised by Ilan Volkov in Brussels in November 2025. Participants sustained a single, continuous note—using instruments or voice—to echo a sound that shapes daily life in Gaza: the persistent hum of drones.

Angélica Castelló recorded this collective action to later use it as the foundation for a solidarity project. Building on earlier initiatives by Shameless Records in support of the Gaza Children’s Fund and HEAL Palestine, this release brings together artists responding to that original material. The compilation features reinterpretations, remixes, and new works inspired by the recording, forming a collective gesture of artistic solidarity.

All proceeds from the release go to the Ghassan Abu Sittah Gaza Children’s Fund and HEAL Palestine, both providing medical attention to the children of Gaza and Lebanon.

What is an echo? An echo is the reflection of sound waves that reach a listener again after a delay. I must admit that at first it wasn’t entirely clear to me what Maricruz Peñaloza and ChrisRegn had in mind when they suggested that Anna, Yara, and I should act as the echo ofthe Performance…
