L’apport : Sound the alarm

L’apport : Sound the alarm by INSUB.7TET
This release is something very special to me.
In December 2025, I had the opportunity to work with the Insub Collectif on the composition “L’Apport: Sound the Alarm”, to record it, and also to perform it live. It was two intense days in Geneva, during which, thanks to the We See You initiative, I was able to get to know these extraordinary musicians more closely.
Starting from the title Sound the Alarm, Cyril Bondi and d’incise developed a new, original composition and integrated it into their L’Apport series.
Out of this process, this recording emerged, which we were also able to present during a very special evening.
Working on this piece was deeply moving for me. I experienced it as a process carried by a subtle but powerful intensity , that, I hope, is also present when listening.
Please check it out… and if you enjoy the music, consider buying the album. All proceeds go to the Ghassan Abu Sitta Children’s Fund.
Eyal Hareuveni wrote some very nice lines about the Gaza Album with the Insub Collectif and the Album Venusbeule with Marie Takahashi and Sara Käser for salt peanuts:
It is an unsettling 35-minute piece, led by the mourning, wordless voices of Läng and Peters, as no words can capture the magnitude of horrors inflicted on the Palestinian population of Gaza. The Insub.Collective embraces the crying, vulnerable voices with a minimalist, ethereal yet friction-based, disturbing dimension that stresses the imminent, endless threat to the survival of the Gazans. The sudden silences emphasize even further the silence of the Western governments to the horrors of the war. This deep listening, touching piece shows how free music suggests the most honest, humble form of sonic resistance to human atrocities.
